They should get whomever their list took originally, no?

As such, the GB discussed a variety of options to make things right, and Matt has chosen the following path ahead:aaronweiner wrote:...LOL.leejay56 wrote:not sure what happen but woke up early and made my pick, SP Ernie von Schledorn III, get home and now its something different....
Ironically, it was thought that you were having a problem with time.
1) Valencia will be assigned EVS (the player they originally intended to select)
2) Orlando Solis (the player whom was taken in the above’s stead) will be taken out of the draft pool (no word on whether or not he will still exist in the file and reappear in next year’s class or not)
3) The draft will be rolled back to SEA’s pick (#24 – last in the first round) so that they may select again (now that EVS, their initial pick, is off the board)
4) The draft clock will be suspended until tomorrow morning at 8AM EST to allow teams to re-adjust their draft lists
We feel that this solution was the “cleanest” as:
1) VAL gets the player they originally intended (ie. they don’t get screwed)
2) SEA doesn’t have to settle for a player they didn’t want [ie. swapping Solis and EVS] (ie. they don’t get screwed)
3) There are no comp picks awarded (ie. everyone behind that potential pick doesn’t get screwed)
4) And Solis didn’t “leap-frog” all of the team’s between VAL and SEA (ie. they don’t get screwed)
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to post them here OR, if you’d prefer, contact either myself or another member of the GB (preferably not Matt, though, as he is busy today) with them.
