Red Light District 2024.1- Rectenwald to oversee Neptunes

Amsterdam today accepted the resignation of short lived GM Nnana Amakiri, and then announced that MBWBA Commissioner and GM of the Las Vegas Hustlers Matt Rectenwald would be overseeing the club.

Rectenwald wasted no time cleaning house after a 78-84 season in Amsterdam. Bench Coach Rich Meacham was shown the door after just one season in Amsterdam. Also fired today were pitching coach Mike Cook and hitting coach German Lopes. Amsterdam also announced Assistant GM John Guichardo would also be free to seek new opportunities.

Arturo Herrera, who had served as the AAA manager the last six years, and hitting coach Emeril Zaretti, who was the AAA hitting coach the last four years, were promoted to bench coach and hitting coach of the Neptunes, respectively.

The Neptunes will look outside of the organization to fill their Assistant GM and Pitching Coach vacancy, and the three vacancies now on the AAA staff.
