On the Diamond Vol. 9 1998

Post by bschr682 » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:19 pm

Pitcher of the sim:
SP Dow Jones
Only started 1 game in this short sim but he went 8.3 innings allowing no runs and only 4 hits.

Batter of the sim:
2B Bernard Maselli
.500 AVG 10 hits in 20 AB's.

A short sim but a nice 4-2 outcome for me. 4th place in the division kind of stinks but i feel like if the team could just start hitting consistently we could rip off some winning sims and move up a bit. A special nod to Pedro Martinez. The only Crusader in the All Star game and he gets credit for the win! Certainly seems like a great FA pickup for the front office.

Never really gave Maselli a look before today, he's a nice player. Will be even better when/if his power develops.

No kidding, a nice player. Perhaps one of the next generation of superstars if that power continues to emerge. A hitter like that at second base is a luxury most teams don't have.

They fly under the radar, but California's young talent should be scaring the hell out of the Johnson League. I can see the Crusaders and Madison dominating that league for the next 5-10 years if things break right.
