March 2, 2014, - Vance Manvel.
Spring training is about to begin and Washington easily had its worst offseason ever and that's saying a lot considering the blundering job GM Manuel has done so far. Thanks to his idiocy the team was slapped with a $48 million dollar fine that severely hampered the team's ability to compete. They were unable to sign any free agents and they can't extend any of their players notably last season's Steve Nebraska Golden Arm award winner Christopher Pump Jr. and #2 starter Richard Mazzola. Hopefully the Bobwhites can turn a profit this year and try to lock up these two guys long term.
Most of the Bobwhites young players are still a season or more away from making the team so expect an epic losing season from the Washington team this year. At least every 5 days the fans will get to watch a truly superb pitcher in Pump Jr. take the mound and they can watch the team's future star CF - Juan Garcia patrol the outfield.
