Custom Ammys, 2013

Post by recte44 » Sat Dec 21, 2013 10:07 am

Same opportunity as last year:

You get 1 PP for each Custom Ammy you create. Commish looks at them and will turn them into the closest existing ammy creation. Commish reserves the right to nix any entry for any reason.

Limit of 2 per GM per season.

As of 2002-2003, the Custom Ammys will be created as High School or College players, and they will evolve from there.

Ted enrolled at The University of South Florida and fell in love with baseball. Ted tried out and dazzled with his natural ability and became a starting pitcher for Bulls. In three years Ted compiled a 30-6 record with a 2.01 ERA and 314 strikeouts. While in college, Ted met Aishwarya Rai, an immigrant from India and promised to give her All his Love.

Name: Seven Mercy
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Florence, Kentucky
Position: OF
Ethnicity: White
Bio: Seven is a child prodigy baseball star whose dad had a plan laid out while the boy was still in the womb that he was going to be a professional baseball player. His father, George, fell in love with the name Seven after his boyhood favorite. George loved a player in some other league named Mickey. Mickey wore number 7 and George felt Seven was a good name for a boy (or a girl). George was an overbearing parent during Seven's years in youth sports and high school. During his freshman year in high school, George removed Seven from his current school when the school's high school coach refused to issue Seven the number 7 for his baseball uniform. George took Seven to the rival high school where Seven would become the state's all-time homeruns leader for high school players in Kentucky.

Low grades throughout his schooling never slowed George of his master plan to get Seven to the big leagues. George was once quoting as saying "We're not on this world for an education. We are here to play baseball and that is exactly what Seven is going to do. One way or another, we are making it to the pros." A great high school career, and his announcement that he will go pro, has put Seven on that path to becoming a big league player.

And oh yeah, just for the connection...

Name: Captain Oh
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
College or High School (not doing age anymore): College
Hometown: San Diego, California
Position: Outfield
Ethnicity: Chinese
Bio: Captain comes from a military background. His family moved over to the United States following the communist explosion in Asia during the mid 20th century. His father, born in America, joined the U.S. army. While he loved serving in the military, he did not want his son to have to go through the things he did. So he put a glove and bat in his hand and encouraged his son to play sports. Lucky for the Oh family, Captain was a pretty good athlete. As a youngster, he excelled at baseball and golf. In fact, many expected Oh to look to join the PGA Tour as he was a 0 handicap in high school and was recruited by many colleges in the Pacific region. But Oh's first love was always baseball. "I can play golf whenever I want" said Oh, "but there is only so much time to be a professional baseball player. I'm choosing that as my current career path knowing golf will always be there."

Oh was a solid baseball player in high school but got better in college. He helped lead his team to a conference championship his sophomore year and really helped put his name on the map as a potential MBWBA player.
