The Stars season is over and ended up 4 games under .500 which is disappointing after season's 86 win season...Injuries really hurt the Stars this year and probably cost them at least 6-10 wins for the season....Hopefully the Stars can have a good offseason, pickup a few pieces and have a better year next season....

How hot was SP Brian Middleton last 7 starts...Well he went 7-0 with a 2.32 ERA.. Overall Middleton went 15-9, 3.24 ERA, 220 K's in 266 innings pitched...Also he allowed only 43 walks in 266 innings....

Vet Catcher Jarrett Ellis had a year to remember... Ellis best year was back in 2007 when he hit .286 7 homers and 37 RBI'S...This year he was amazing as Ellis just had a career year in every category and was the Stars surprise player of the year...Ellis ended up with a .293 batting average, he hit 21 homers and drove in 69 runs....No one ever expected that production from him...Now at 35 the Stars will see how much longer he can produce and with Dunn coming into the pitcher time isn't on Ellis side....

Rookie LF Jared Delger did well his last 6 game...Delger hit .417 and 3 homers over that time....The Stars are counting on Delger for 20-25 homers next season....In 83 games this season Delger did hit 12 homers and 15 doubles...He only hit .248 but hopefully that will improve next season....

The Stars have good depth at many positions going into next season but need more pitching and maybe a power bat....
