Catching up as quickly as possible, the end of May proved to be a great Sim for one of the league’s left-coast teams and a player made the move to the top of the Silver Atlas standings.
The Walkoff Watch Terminology
balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

Sim #6 Teams and Players Highlights
- Long Beach (6-3) finished out the month of May in style with a 3-0 sim in walkoff games, while Calgary (3-3) didn’t in going 0-2. Phoenix (3-3) split a pair of games in Sim #6, Greenville (3-4) dropped two decisions but was victorious in one walkoff for a 1-2 record.
- One of Long Beach’s walkoff wins was secured by Alberto Guzmán and it was his 3rd of the season to move him up to sole possession of the top spot in the Silver Atlas standings. Meanwhile, there was no movement at the top of the race for the Silver Goat but Greenville’s Brendan Meyer and Marquette’s Javier Alomar did join the group in 3rd place by suffering their 2nd walkoff defeats of 2008.
