The First week of the season ended as though the world was upside down, the favoured teams, the big teams were below the unfavourable teams. Jerusalem 2-4, Moscow 3-5 and Cairo 3-4 all had losing records, in fact if you had gone to Vegas the day before the season started you could have placed $1 and won $300. Throw in another $1 and placed it on London 4-2 and Sydney 5-0 being top of their divisions and you'd have added another $250, not bad a $550 return for a $2 wager.

Taylor Barfoot (404) did his chances of catching Quinn Greene (632) in career home runs when he got 3 against the Sydney Sharks in a 12-5 win. Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers improved their record with a 4-2 week but still have a losing record 6-7, Moscow Thunder Bears 4-10 and Cairo Pharaohs 6-7 continue their fall from grace. London Monarchs 9-4 and the Sydney Sharks 8-4 both stay stop of their respective leagues.

The Sydney Sharks moved to number 1 in the power rankings, showing a clean pair of heels to the surprising Athens Fighting Centaurs. The Centaurs who were tipped by many have been creeping up the standings for the first few weeks of the season, only time will tell if it's a mirage or not.

Two teams who hope it's just early season jitters are the Cairo Pharaohs and the Moscow Thunder Bears both who were heavily tipped to do well, Cairo even tipped to finish too of their division but have yet to catch fire.

The Sydney Sharks are still top of the pile after the first month of the season, the Moscow Thunder Bears and Cairo Pharaohs are struggling to find their form that had them being tipped to be near top of their division of not too as Cairo were tipped.

Athens may have slipped but are still surprising people, the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers who got of to a slow start have turned around a 9-10 record after the first 3 weeks to a 15-11 record to end April.
