Denes 'Shadow' Terovolas
The Johnson League bestowed the Player of the Week Award upon him for his red-hot start, the first BBA award of his short career. When asked about it, he said, "I'm honored, but the important thing is that we are winning games. I'm just doing my part. The pitching staff has been great, of course. You almost take that for granted on this club, but we see how hard they prepare for each game. Our captain really led the way. 'Tangles' has what, four doubles and a pair of homers already? He's just such a professional hitter. And I want to give a shout out to Teddy. He worked his tail off this offseason in the development lab honing his contact skills and you could see it in spring training. He was a totally different hitter. He has a swagger now when he goes to the plate, renewed confidence. Last season he rode the bench. Now he's our DH and he's hitting like one."
