Rais was born in Bangkok to champion kickboxer parents, Yuthana and June Rais. While his upbringing was in a ring, he was discovered by a scout as a kid when Kim-Hu and his friends were playing baseball in an alley. However, they did not have a bat or ball, so young Kim-Hu used roundhouse kicks to hit a tossed bottlecap. While unconventional, Rai's raw power from his legs was undeniable. That power could be translated to the baseball field and Kim-Hu immediately began training for a new sport.
Despite being extremely raw and not showing much power early on, Nashville gamble on Rais by drafting him in the 14th round of the 2060 draft. Though he only had 18 professional at bats last year in rookie ball, he had 6 hits, including 2 HR. Eager to show the front office this wasn't a fluke, he worked on his strength in the offseason and scouts now see his potential. Rais is still extremely raw and will begin the 2062 season in rookie ball to see if he can replicate his results. He isn't much of a runner, but plays a solid outfield. His ceiling as a hitter is .250 with 30-35 HR.
