First/Last Name: Justin BeloteI am an avid baseball fan and English teacher/poet/novelist with a deep love of narrative. While on the surface these may seem to some like strange bedfellows, I find they are actually quite well-suited to each other. So much of sports, after all, is about story. Even as a kid this seemed to be the case to me. In fact, back in those days, I used fill up composition notebooks with made up leagues and players with complete backstories. Based on what I have read about this league on the website, it seems that its members share a similar interest in this aspect of the game. I think I would be able to contribute well to your rich culture.
Why else should you choose me? Well, because, even considering the mosthumorous/goofy competition, I believe that Heathcliff slocumb has the best name to ever grace the pages of baseball history.

Describe your GM style: I like to run a tight ship that avoids bloated contracts (unless, of course, there is some team legend who deserves the play out his final days on the squad). I also really love to focus on player development.

Tell us more about yourself: I pitched baseball in college, so, naturally, that’s my favorite position. While I could only throw junk (like a signature circle change), my three favorite pictures of all time are Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, and Sandy Koufax.
