The Valencia Stars made their first-round pick in the 2061 draft and the person selected was rightfielder Bill Nesbit. Bill was hanging out in the local Applebee’s when he received the call and was given the news.
Bill, a native of Hayesville, Oregon, already has a local following with an extremely popular rating in popularity. Although he currently only has an overall potential of 50, the 20 year-old already has a current overall rating of 50 which will probably land him a spot in Redwood City with the A-level club. The Valencia brass hopes that he can work his way through the system and be with the AAA squad by the end of 2061 which would put him in the running for a left-field spot in 2062 assuming that Qadir bin Gamal does not agree to an agreeable extension.
In Bill’s last college season he hit .299 with a .417 on base percentage while adding 18 homers and 7 steals. His glove in the outfield proved to be an asset as well. His contact/power/eye ratings of 6/7/5 have already filled out so it will be interesting to see if they stay, climb or decline.
