Stinson Signs for Another Year

The Pioneers signed legend Larry Stinson to a 1 year $7 million dollar extension. The deal will bring him back for his 20th BBA season and 14th in Calgary. Stinson moved to DH for the 2060 season.

Many fans were wondering if Stinson was done with the team. He posted the worst offensive numbers of his career this season, hitting only .239, .755 OPS and 32 HRs. Stinson previous low was a .292 batting average and .902 OPS. This was also only the 3rd team he had hit under 40 home runs.

“Larry will be a Pioneer as long as he wants to play and when he hangs it up there will be spot in the dugout for him,” GM Kevin Dickson said. “People want to focus on the negative, but what about him leading the team AGAIN with 123 RBIs. He always figured out a way to bring the runs in.”

Stinson’s 123 RBIs were only 6 bchind the JL leader. He also hit 49 doubles giving him 82 EBH.

Stinson continues his climb up the BBA Leaderboard as he now ranks 2nd with 859 HR (80 behind Felix Roman), 3rd with 2410 RBIs, 13th with 3510 Hits and 2nd with 816 doubles. He only needs 13 doubles to move into 1st place.
