Designated hitter Don Moore was named Johnson League Player of the Week after hitting .647. He recorded 11 hits in 17 at-bats, with three home runs and 17 RBIs.

Ever since arriving in Montreal via a waiver claim/trade deal with the San Fernando Bears, Moore has owned the left-handed DH role for the Blazers. He has hit .330/.397/.705 (202 OPS+) since donning a Montreal uniform, with 10 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, and ten stolen bases.

Moore is in the last year of his contract, earning $7.5 million. Negotiations on an extension originally started at four years at $7.5 million but now his agent is demanding five years at $9.6 million. It seems that with every passing week, Moore’s eventual payday just gets bigger and bigger.
