Overview of Playoff Sims?

Post by JimSlade » Thu May 05, 2022 6:48 am

Is there an overview of how playoffs sims work around here? According to the schedule, it looks like things kickoff on Friday Do we run a whole series at 1 sim or do we go 1 game at a time? Any other quirks I might need to know as I head into my first Brewster wildcard round? Thanks.

Whole series at a time. Friday will be the Geoghegan Series (Best of 5, Wild Card teams). Saturday will be the entire Doubleday Series (Best of 7, our version of the LDS). Sunday will be the entire Cartright Series (Best of 7, our version of the LCS), and then Tuesday will be the Monty Brewster Series (Best of 7, our version of the World Series and is typically live simmed)

As for quirks, it's worth noting the better team typically loses in the BBA. So expect Portland to be bounced early. :coffee:

Thanks, I've got my playoff roster set and look forward to whatever the 0's and 1's decide. In my other league, the postseason runs 1 postseason night of games at a time, which is fun, but taxing on the nerves, if you're in the playoffs, and excruciating if you're out and waiting for the new season to begin. It must be a lot of extra work for the commissioners, to boot. Good luck, all!

Around clubhouses, this is as known as "being YS9ed."

I'm going to have to re-vamp the schedule a bit as some things have popped up for me. I'll announce shortly.
