BBA Today #53 - The Trade Mentality and Pythgorean Records

Post by RonCo » Thu Oct 01, 2020 1:11 pm

Join Ted and Ron as they talk about "trade theory" and Pythagorean records. As such, we spend much time on Jacksonville, Seattle, and Edmonton. But there's more, of course. Always with the more, am I right?

Well...we did have a couple little breaks in there. And the places we cut out made for a couple areas to streamline a little. Take a re-listen and tell me if I killed the narrative flow at all. :)

Is there a spot in OOTP where it lists "base runs"?

Your "what the hell" moment will come when you actually look at the UMEBA draft.

It's absurd.

Yes, it's entirely possible that Park didn't get drafted in that draft.

It is only 80 players, though, so going 80 players down it's really not a huge surprise. It's considerably better than our draft though.

Fantastic job. I was in the position of buy/sell last year and it's tough. I was on the bubble all season and hoped I could stay in it while unloading some salary. Didn't quite work, but glad I wasn't a buyer. I expected a similar situation this year, but my boys are playing really well thus far.

Excellent job - I had never heard of base runs before, so I learned something. Now reading up on it. Thanks, guys!

Yup. You guys really need to figure out some sort of trade system or whatever. Otherwise you are looking at nearly 2 real life years before these guys can come over via free agency. That’s not right...
