I thought I was going to get annihilated this sim. Left 5 players in DFA and held back every non roster invitee in lieu of "National Waiver Wire Day". 3-3 is probably the best possible outcome.
Only 58 more wins to beat the media guide projection.

The Good : Only team to beat Rockville in a game this season
The Bad : 2-4 overall
Good Week : Joey O’Brien - hitting.556 on the season and looking as if he belongs in the BBA
Bad Week : Ken Bates - After a good spring he got shelled to the tune of a 10.12 ERA, saving grace is he’s not the only one Rockville will do that to
Indifferent week : Carlos Rosa - after missing most of 2037 with injury the first ( and only, so far) batter he faced in 2038 stuck the ball over the fences
The worst : The top four of the lineup are on course for 216 strikeouts, the bottom five on course for 675, thanks in part to Tavares attempting a 243 K effort

Another thing, I had to fool Morales to even get him to talk extension with us. After monitoring his demands over a few sims, when it came to pony up the money he suddenly came up with the “I don’t want to sign with your manager, our personalities clash too much “
Not to be beaten I moved new rookie manager Brooks to Louisville sending O’Rorke to Bowling Green. Morales happily signed his five-year and Brooks went back to Bowling Green.
Get over it Morales, you’ve got five years to sort out the differences with O’Rorke lol

The start of the season couldn't have come at a worse time honestly. It's just been life at 200 mph the last 10 days.
But, was able to get everything in so we're all good there.
Played Cal tough in the opening series. Dropped 2/3 but guys like Aguilar, Tallent and Jones really shined in the series.
Sweeping Yellow Springs gives this team a little momentum early, Yellow Spring is predicted to be better than us (who isn't?) - so taking it to them early is a nice accomplishment for this very young team.
Starting the year 4-2 might be the highest we ever get above .500 this year, or it might be a sign that cinderella is alive and well.
Probably not to much the fairy tale.

Interesting. Surprised that your BBA manager was ok with the demotion.

Yes. I'm 100% fine with Nigel doing this inside the game...but I'm shocked the manager accepts a demotion off the majors. DEmotions everywhere else seems okay. I should probably drop something on the beta forum about it.

Yeah, I have no problem with Nige doing that. It's actually impressive that you thought of it and it worked!
But yup, BBA manager probably shouldn't be ok going down to rookie league.

It probably helped that he had only just made BBA manager from AAA HC. In fact I tried all managers in the organisation before Morales finally decided that Brooks was an acceptable manager. I wasn’t expecting the ruse to work either but when he’d been quoting such a team friendly deal of only a couple of thousand raise I had to try everything. In all honesty if O’Rorke has objected, as I’ve had managers do before (to poor performance demotion) I’d have probably sacked him. Morales is more important

I uhh, might have looked into doing this in order to get Mauro flores to talk to me, but my manager wouldn't accept the demotion and I didn't want to risk the firing.

I've messed around with it for other reasons. It normally doesn't work. Nigel is likely right that it is because the current manager was just promoted. Newer, less experienced managers with lower reputations are more open to moves. I'm not sure exactly what else goes into the decision as to whether or not managers will accept moves, but like most things in the game, it's just an equation.

Same for me... realized I forgot to change the pitch counts after I saw the first live sim come through and Kelly only went 3+ innngs.
Bullpen got a nice workout though... lol.

I was happy with 3-3 but it’s going to take me some time to figure some things out correct pen, lineups etc.... I was believed it takes about 40 games to really get a feel for your team and how strong they are. I know I am not winning it all but I always try to get the most out of my team. If I could finish .500 I would be real happy.

I did the manager switch with Enrique Salazar and Karma bitch slapped me right in the face. He lumped instantly and now 6 years later, I'm paying him $13 million to be my A-ball hitting coach.

Coaches/Manager in OOTP on-line leagues...I have never understood why it is worth the GM's time to use them. I have just left my manager position open until the season starts just so I can sign who I would like to sign...which I thought was part of an on-line league...weird...
