"We don't ever go all the way to 40 men, but we like to give some of our veterans and emerging future stars some big league exposure," said GM Matt Rectenwald.
A quick look at the 2001 September call-ups:

Martin Brown, rhp
Brown, 27 years old, finally made it to the big leagues after being the Hustlers 4th round pick in 1995. He has great talents that have been slow to develop. At this point, Brown is a bullpen option, though his overall talent still projects him to have a chance to be a MBBA starting pitcher someday.

Timothy Devinney, lhp
Don't be fooled by Devinney's 6.00 ERA in AAA Milwaukee this year. He was hurt by a .367 BABIP. Devinney has a chance to be the second lefty in the Hustlers bullpen in 2002.

Douglas "Doogie" Howser, outfielder
The light hitting Howser was brought up for extra outfield depth with Slizz suffering another short term injury. Howser is a lifetime .300 hitter in limited MBBA action.
Silvio Garcia, infielder
The 24 year old Garcia makes his second straight September appearance for the Hustlers. He recorded his first major league hit this last sim. Garcia will contend for a reserve role in 2002.
