Talons take CF Weaver Ripley.

I know I'll probably get lit up for this pick, but the Talons needed someone who:

1. Is a "very easy" sign (we have no money lol)
2. In a draft full of DH's:
---a.Actually has a chance of being a plus defender
---b.Has good speed
3. Has a good personality with work ethic

So there you have it.

i dont hate the pick at all, especially because as you mentioned, DH seems to be the position of choice in this draft.

Yeah, I had to take Gipper. I love his makeup and he can actually play CF. Easy pick.

Liked Gipper too, but knew there'd be no way he'd fall to 15.

Very happy with the pick of Long Chamberlain III looking for him to replace Hector Cantu and Long is a switch hitter. :pickles:

Palacios is so developed that I couldn't turn him down - he should be ready the fastest of anyone in this draft probably.

I've just been burned on 16 and 17 year old pitchers so often that I'm starting to grow a complex.

Palacios is probably the safest pick in the entire draft that I've seen.

o absolutely, although that glove could be an issue. That bad should play fairly quickly though.

really happy to get brett white, should be good enough with the glove to play in RF and nice potential with the bat as well.

Well since the 6 guys at the top of my list went in the 6 picks ahead of me, I took McConnell. Was really hoping Garcia would make it to me or White. But can't be upset with an 8 contact, 9 Power guy that might be able to play the field.

Garcia was kinda the last option I had that was acceptable. I almost went with a pitcher, but decided against it. Hopefully Garcia can play CF, thats what I am going to try. With that speed, hopefully he can make it work...but he needs better OF ratings.
