Pitcher of the sim:
SP Oscar Funke
1-0 with a 3.38 ERA and 4 K's in 8.0 IP. Not the greatest but he did alright.
Batter of the sim:
LF Sam Jones
.389 Avg in 18 AB's. Nice job.
2-3. Not that great. Valencia roughed us up a bit before we took 2 out of 3 from Hawaii. So this leaves us 4 games back of Vancouver with 4 games to play and o by the way those 4 games are against Vancouver. How exciting! Pitching still a bit off but at least the back end of the bullpen seems to have straightened it out.

Came close to winning the division outright. Good luck in the playoffs, Brett.

Re: On the Diamond Vol. 17 2000
We won the division 1-0 with a sac fly after Funke hit three batters in the eighth inning of the final game.
It was possible only because John Flaskamper of all people pitched probably his best game ever.
We're limping into the playoffs.
