Re: Participation Point Rewards
Discuss. What should we have here??? I need to dig back through my files too, but if anyone (Joel, Mikey???) has the last PP rewards, please let me know and/or post it here.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
I would spend points to get the dude some respect.

As long as you don't touch the player history I'm cool.ronzonie7 wrote:I'd spend 20 PPTs to delete a random season from Ross's GM history.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
I still like the standard things we have in ORB... except cash... it's all I see purchased in GUBA and I think we can do better.
The intangibles improvements are cool.
Re-branding
What are your stadium improvement plans, if any?
I'm sure cash will be here too but it would be cool not to have that as an option.
What about spending points to bring an ex-major league player in, similar to SAMLer?

Re: Participation Point Rewards
I don't think the demand for cash will be near as high here, considering the broadcast rev is twice as much as the GUBA.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
Damn you are right... the TV contract are waay high. Teams are gonna have a lot of cash to spend initially and I'd hate to see what the first few free agent markets look like. It's gonna be a bidding war.mad0die wrote:I don't think the demand for cash will be near as high here, considering the broadcast rev is twice as much as the GUBA.
Re: Participation Point Rewards
I like options 1-3 here. I, too, would rather see cash abolished...although with the salary cap, it may not matter. I do not however like spending points to bring in ex-major leaguers.Railroad_Ross wrote:I still like the standard things we have in ORB... except cash... it's all I see purchased in GUBA and I think we can do better.

I feel like intangibles improvements should really help out in a non-historical league because of how far some of the minor leaguers need to go to reach their potential.
Personally, I like rewards that don't translate directly to a competitive advantage.
Re: Participation Point Rewards
I don't like customizing ammys and I don't really like the MLBers. I realize I may be in the minority on these issues.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
Those were the two things that made the MBBA the MBBA, so we'll be doing the custom ammys for sure. The MLB train, however, is over.

Works for me. However, I'd like to know if the custom AMMY's are always made REALLY good by their creators?recte44 wrote:Those were the two things that made the MBBA the MBBA, so we'll be doing the custom ammys for sure. The MLB train, however, is over.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
The creators have little control over the specifics of the player. They can say general things about him. We don't edit much of ratings, we try to match up guys in the Ammy Pool to what was described and change names.

Re: Participation Point Rewards
There can still be defectors, but these will be guys whose major league career is over so generally they'll be towards the end of their career or damaged in some way.

Sounds great to me. I've got about three ammys in my head right now.recte44 wrote:The creators have little control over the specifics of the player. They can say general things about him. We don't edit much of ratings, we try to match up guys in the Ammy Pool to what was described and change names.
