"A funny thing happened on the way to the park this week in Omaha, the Barnstormers went 1-9,"Gm Kiggins told reporters today. The only good thing out of Omaha this week RF Jason Wortman signed a 4 yr extension to stay in Omaha and be one of the leaders on a team that is rebuilding and will not be in contention for another 2-3 years. In Wortman Management knows what type of player they are investing in and being able to play both the IN and OF positions and still only 27 yrs old should continue to be a steady .300/20/80 player.Management has made it clear to 3B Dave Manzanillo that he is not wanted and has been put on waivers hoping he'll go away,we shall see.A few changes have been made and the new starting pitching rotation will now turn to our 2000 staff or at least those who will be trying for a spot next season.LH SP Omar "JUICE"Epps obtained from Las Vegas gets the opportunity to show case his talents for the rest of the year.At age 26 the lefty has one of the best change-ups(10) in the MBBA and a 92 MPH fastball "JUICE" also throws an above average slider(8).Veteran SP Scott Saundersmoves back in while MR Ken Ryan moves back to the CL role.

Position:1st

The future lies here in the Pilots as most of the young stars of tomorrow are here today. This team reguardless of who was playing here have been on fire all year.To their credit the team has had (1).800 and (3).700's PCT months this year and lead the league in stolen bases(195)

I always wanted to give Epps a chance, but he simply wasn't one of my best 15 pitchers.
