Seattle/Omaha Blockbuster

Post by jumpmancol » Wed Mar 02, 2011 10:29 pm

After acquiring a ton of talent over the past few months, Seattle decides to cash those chips in and pick up some real difference makers.

Seattle sends:
Cory Warr, Tobias Kelly, Vicente Martinez, Dash Kelly, Alfredo Gomez, Dan Winter, Marquez Rayas, Dave Manzanillo & Parker Giorgi

to Omaha for:
Russell Vanness, Armando Santos & Will Simmons

It's a ton to give up in terms of prospects, but it brings back two absolute studs that are still very young, and maybe the best young player in the game in Santos, plus a dynamite OF in Simmons that will start right away. They are worth far more to me than the prospects as they help right now, and will be around a long time.

I will leave the appropriate spots open for each of these guys in the lineup by moving my guys from my 25-man roster in the deal to DFA. Santos will be in CF and bat 1st, Simmons in LF and batting 2nd. Vanness will be my new #1 in the rotation.

Ya'll are killing me! I'll get the links is first thing in the morning when I have some more time.

And before anyone roasts me over this trade (I know it's coming!!!!!), just remember this, what would you give up to get the guys I did? :gimme: Take a look at the ages of the guys I got, and check out those of the guys I dealt, and please bear in mind only 3 of these prospects would ever play for me. Also, keep in mind, these players fit better with my team style. Final note; these guys give me a legitimate shot to win this year.

I've been on an upward tick for a while now, these guys will only help this. Hope this helps everyone understand!

:champs: (hopefully :bowtie: )

Your team must be loaded if Warr/Martinez/Kelly are a collection of minor league playersImage Unless my eye sight fails me i added the #1 prospect in the MBBA along with the:#3, #14,#49,#79 ranked players to go along with also owning the #15/26/46/and 76th.I see the Monarchs top rated players are #51/59Image

I remember when Santos was the #6 prospect, I tried to nurture him slowly through Omaha's ranks but he forced his way through in under three years

One thing is for sure. Warr's been passed around like a 40 in a parking lot.

Hey, Paul, pass him to me.
