The Stars were looking to pick up some pitching during the off season and one more bat but in both cases didnt get either....They did pick up a few journey man relief pitchers who will get a shot during spring training...
The Starting rotation will see the Stars number one pick in 2004, 23 year old Brian Middleton...Middleton got a call up last season and pitched in 3 games...He went 2-1, 4.07 era...The Stars feel he is ready and will start in spring...So far his first two starts have gone great as he logged in 8 inn 6 hits 3 k's and zero runs....Very good start for Middleton...
SP Will Cameron who emerged as the the one starter last season with a 13-10 3.58 performance for the year...Cameron spring so far has been very good so far 2-0 12 innings and 12 k's 1.50 era...Hopefully he can keep this up during the season....
The Stars have 38 players on there roster for the spring and over the next week they need to get down to 27....It should be interesting to see who will make this years team....in spring so far the Stars are 10-4...

Re: Valencia Stars Report: Off Season #1
He's fantastic now, but if he develops as he could you have a rare piece to build around.
