"You don't build dynasties in a week. But you sure find out who's still wearing training wheels."
— Gertie
Well, pups… this isn’t how we drew it up.
Your Madison Wolves stumbled out of the gate this week, going 1-5 to open the 2063 campaign. A mix of missed opportunities, shaky pitching, and a few late-inning heartbreakers have left us with a sour taste — but if you think this team is backing down, you don’t know Gertie’s Wolves.

The Wolves placed Jesus Gil on the 7-day IL with a minor strain. We expect a quick bounce back, but in the meantime, bullpen depth needed an emergency patch.

RP Alejandro Ramírez was called up from A-Ball (Boulder). The 21-year-old fireballer had a sizzling 1.08 ERA in 8.1 IP, racking up 11 K while allowing just 2 walks. Welcome to the show, kid.

Mark Moore, after a forgettable outing vs CHI (3.0 IP, 7 ER), has been removed from the starting rotation.
Taking his place is Wesley Turner, who earned our lone win this week and posted a clean 1.2 IP with zero damage.

Gary Fellers – (5 G, .462 AVG, 1.115 OPS)
The veteran infielder did everything short of driving the team bus. Unfortunately, the rest of the lineup didn’t follow his lead.

Alfred Primm, age 22, notched his first career home run!
A towering shot in the 9th vs DM that momentarily ignited the Shotz Stadium faithful.
