Image Now we'll continue our prospect peek by looking at pitching in the Boise organization. It won't take long, because there is way to few pitchers coming up thru the system than hitters, unfortunately. Maybe a trade to swap some of GM Ben Teague's bats for arms? Nah.

Pitchers
Image
SP Cosmin 'Horrible' Grigore - 19yo
(S A) 3 G, 3 GS, 0-1, 2.45 ERA, 14.2 IP, 1.02 WHIP, 0.0 WAR
STU: 3/5
MOV: 4/7
HRA: 3/8
PBABIP: 6/6
CON: 3/6
---
FB: 4/5
SL: 4/7
CNG: 3/8
SPLT: 3/4
Grigore was drafted by Boise in the first round of the 2060 draft. He made 11 starts in Rookie League last season producing a 2.63 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 61.2 innings pitched. But he's a tweener with a stamina of 4 but no dominant pitches to be a reliever. He is also fragile which is something the coaches have worked with him in the offseason to improve. He has great intangibles so the hope here, in Boise-land, is that he gets a whole lotta bumps.

Image
CL Alfredo Morán - 20yo
(AA) 18 G, 2-2, 8 SV, 4.37 ERA, 22.2 IP, 1.24 WHIP, +0.8 WAR
STU: 5/8
MOV: 4/6
HRA: 4/6
PBABIP: 5/5
CON: 3/5
---
SL: 7/10
CUT: 7/9
If Morán doesn't make it to a closer role in the majors, he will be a damn good setup or stopper. But, come on, this dude screams 'closer.' He'll need watching for any work past one inning could easily exhaust his 1 stamina.

Image
P Pat Perkins - 19yo
(A) 4 G, 4 GS, 1-1, 6.50 ERA, 18.0 IP, 1.89 WHIP, +0.2 WAR
STU: 4/5
MOV: 5/5
HRA: 5/6
PBABIP: 5/5
CON: 6/6
---
CRV: 5/7
CNG: 5/7
CUT: 5/7
Perkins was drafted in the 3rd round on the 2060 draft. He began this season at Class A Tulsa but has been moved down a notch since S A started play. He's a finesse pitcher and, though his pitches grade out as above average, he needs to bump up his movement accordingly.

Image
P Patrick Klerk - 18yo
(R) 3 G, 3 GS, 0-2, 17.2 IP, 7.13 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, +0.2 WAR
STU: 3/5
MOV: 3/5
HRA: 2/6
PBABIP: 4/4
CON: 2/5
---
FB: 4/6
SL: 4/7
CNG: 2-7
Klerk is an international scouting find who is just hitting the organization this season at 18yo. There's not much that pops out about him. He could have quality pitches and avoid giving up the long ball, but that would depend on him having the work ethic and intelligence to make it happen.

Image
P Tim Stops - 22yo
(AAA) 11 G, 0 GS, 1.38 ERA, 13.0 IP, 0.92 WHIP, +0.2
STU: 8/8
MOV: 4/5
HRA: 3/4
PBABIP: 6/6
CON: 5/5
---
FB: 10/10
SNK: 8/8
CUT: 7/8
Stops was drafted all the way back in 2058 in the 9th round. His profile screams setup man except...he is an extreme flyball hitter. That, traditionally, doesn't sit well with Teague. On days he can overpower hitters, he'll be wicked to watch. But if he's getting too much of the plate he's going to get whiplash watching balls leave the park.
