Docking was discovered by scouts at an early age and would have been signed as early as 13 years old if rules allowed, however, he had to wait until he was 16 to ink his deal. A certain arrogance runs through Docking’s veins and he was determined to single-handedly turn the Brooklyn Robins into a winning franchise despite offers from every BBA team. However, the Robins traded Docking to Nashville in exchange for slugging 3B Jorge Cano where he was catapulted from worst to first. His brute strength may be unmatched in the minor leagues, but he is extremely underdeveloped as a 16-year-old in rookie ball. Scouts list him as a 3B, but he is better suited at 1B unless he gets a major boost in his defensive abilities. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but don’t expect much success in his first season in professional ball. His bright shiny 80 POT rating could disappear quickly.
