
Opening weekend in Tokyo
Moscow began the 2060 season in the same place they began the 2059 season, in Japan against the Tokyo Pearls. 27,000 fans packed into Manama Fields for opening day in game one of a three game series.
Game 1
The season opener turned into a pitching duel between EwungaGoiba Ghera for Moscow and Umar "All Star Jr" Dogar forTokyo.
Dogar pitched a four-hit shutout, earning him Player of the Game. Ghera pitched a gem for Moscow giving up one run on five hits in 7 2/3 innings.
The lone run was a solo Home Run from Tokyo DH Matthew Woods in the bottom of the 3rd Inning.

Game 2
Game 2 was anything but a pitcher's duel, as six home runs were hit in the contest. Moscow pitcher Jerry Borque scattered five hits over 6 innings before being lifted in the bottom of the 6th. Newcomers to the Moscow bullpen Patrick Whitlock and Samuel Vankrimpen slammed the door on a Tokyo comeback, earning Vankrimpen his first save in a Thunder Bears uniform.
Final: Moscow 5 - Tokyo 4
Game 3
The final game of the series would pit another newcomer for Moscow, Bruno Bugbie, on the mound versus Tokyo right-hander Tommy Boele.
Moscow led 2-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th when the wheels came off for Bugbie. Budding Moscow nemesis Matthew Woods led off the inning with a 410-foot solo blast into the right field stands. Callum Mckay singled, and Taylor Barfoot launched a two-run homer, giving the Pearls the lead and the series win.

Moscow will host the Sydney Sharks at home in the Bears Den April 4th - 6th before heading to Cairo
