Hey! Look at the bright side. We didn't get FUBARd again. But we got FUBARd in the sim to the tune of a negative 31 run differential. The only bright spot at this point is we are still 3.5 games ahead of Long Beach and are trending back towards another top 2 draft pick if this keeps up. It's getting difficult to fight the urge to not bring up some young reinforcements but we need to stick to the "Master PlanTM" and wait until 2043.
Pitcher of the Sim

Marcelo Polar
I was fully prepared to give this award to no one this sim, but Polar deserves it. He appeared in just 2 games in relief, both against Louisville of all teams, and combined to throw 4 innings in those 2 outings and not allow a run or a hit. In fact, he didn't allow a base runner in the 2 outings and struck out a total of 3. Polar now has a 4.29 ERA and 1.29 WHIP which we find acceptable in Portland despite a -0.1 WAR.
Hitter of the Sim

Jon Mick
After winning the SSSS last sim, Mick rebounds this sim by hitting .318/.423/.500 with a homerun and 3 RBI. Perhaps he just feels more comfortable hitting when he can play defense at 1B and not just be purely a DH. Guerrer obviously didn't like the switch as he had one of his worst sims of the season. Makes you wonder if guys just don't like being a DH sometimes and do better if they can play the field too.
Sorry Sack of Shit for the Sim

Flynn Venegas
So I've never tried the "opener" method before. Gave it a whirl this sim with two guys. One of which was Venegas. It didn't go well as indicated here by the SSSS award. Venegas made the start in the 14-5 loss to Des Moines and he allowed 7 runs on 5 hits and a pair of walks while failing to finish the 1st inning. Fortunately for him and the Lumberjacks, Portland scored a run in the 9th inning to prevent finding itself mentioned in the FUBAR feature.
