Dennis French - What can I say about this guy? A lot if I really think about it I imagine. Last year French was mediocre-ing his way through the mid-season and I was like: sheesh, I should send him down and save a year of control over the poor guy...then I thought, I'm not Bob Castellini (thinking about Nick Senzel)...I mean how would I have felt if I sent a guy that belongs in the MLB to the minors and he got hurt...probably like Bob Castellini feels now...oh, never mind, he probably doesn't even know he's injured yet; how could he while he sits around not caring about winning and losing and only being worried about his profits...
Ok, Ok....
Dennis French, I know...Well, he finished 2037 pretty strong and still didn't win rookie of the year...again, I felt bad about that and felt I had him up a season too early. Then again, who cares about rookie of the year? After all,
Todd Hollandsworth won ROY in 1996 for the Dodgers and only managed 732 more hits the rest of his career. I'm sure there are worse examples of ROY winners. Wasn't there some crappy cubs catcher that won ROY one time?
Geovany Soto,

, I mean, he did manage 479 hits outside of that season...Well, looky there, good 'ole 'Roid Braun "won" ROY in 2007 (he seems to struggle when he's 'roid-less; I know, 'roids don't help...

).
So, anyway, I shut off the ROY voting as I'm having too much fun with it. The point is, if there is one, French is kickin' it this season and while I doubt it will be a historically important season, he is only 21 and he shows zero signs of slowing his roll. Enjoy facing him as I know he enjoys facing you!
