"At no point have we offered any of our pitchers up for trade" responded Wilson in the locker room. "We have what we think is a championship caliber team and we are going to ride it out for better or for worse in 2033."
The source of the trade allegations was not named but comments have surfaced from Wilson over his displeasure of the team's up and down play early in the season. Many had high hopes for the Wolves this season and a 13-12 start to the season hasn't left a good impression to start the season.
But at the same time, the Wolves do have several pitchers who would make for potential trade pieces. As for the mentioned Gomez, his contract is up at the end of the season and moving him now wouldn't be the worst decision for Madison. But, according to his agent, Gomez is willing to talk about a long term deal to stay in Madison if the organization feels it wants to keep Enrique long term. Luis Soto is another name reported that could be on the move. The 35 year old pitcher has a team option for the 2034 season and has shown to be a valuable pitcher as well.
"We aren't trading pitchers" Wilson added, "but I wouldn't say we are against trading anyone for the right price."
