Monday March 31st, 2031

So here we are on the eve of Twin Cities third season in the MBBA, this is the season that the Monsters are targeting as reaching .500 ball. After winning 70 games last year the board are confident that 81 is reachable with the year on year improvement of our younger players and the additions we made in the off season.

As the team break Spring Camp and head to Phoenix for their opening four-game series this is the pitching staff that Twin Cities will take with them

The Rotation

#1 Reese Rayner – In his rookie year last year Rayner posted a 12-15 record with a 3.71 ERA. A bit overworked he pitched 238 innings striking out 165 batters with a WHIP of 1.18. He was on Canada’s roster at the recent World Cup and went 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in his only start.

#2 Juan Jose Mayorga – Signed as a free agent in the off season on a six-year $60.5 million deal Mayorga was with Omaha the last six year compiling a 45-56 ERA with a career 4.00 ERA. In 165 (140 starts) he has 617 K’s, 12 complete games and three shutouts.

#3 Carlino Omoboni – In his two years in Twin Cities since coming over from Paris in the EBA he has compiled a 16-30 record with a 5.58 ERA, striking out 210 in 360 innings pitched.

#4 Jessie Stewart – In his full rookie year last year he posted a 10-16 record striking out 130 batters in 209 innings pitched with a 4.21 ERA.

#5 Jesse Howard – The MBBA’s #45 prospect, drafted #1 overall in 2026 by Greenville made his debut as a September call-up. He went 1-1 with a 2.16 ERA in three outings (two starts) striking out 10 in 16 innings pitched.

The Bullpen

Stanley Benson – in two years with TWC he is 0-2 with one save and an 8.04 ERA in eight appearances (three starts)

Antonio Gonzalez – Signed out of the Dominican Republic as an International free agent aged 16 by Louisville in 2020 he started making his way up the ladder in 2027 before the sluggers gave up on him in 2030 and is now set to make his major league debut.
Alphonse Salvarani – In his two years in the TWC ‘pen he has made 95 outings pitching 149 innings while posting a 6-5 record with a 3.99 ERA. He has struckout 128 batters and walked 42.

It's strange.. you take a year of not paying enough attention, and everything changes.
