The Stars had another slow week and have a 7-11 record to start the season...The offence has really struggled so far, 11th in home runs, 8th in runs scored, and 12 in extra base hits...
Help is on the way!!! Last week the Stars added some more offence from the FA list...The Stars picked up DH/1B Elliot Spencer..Former 1st round pick in 2015 Spencer has averaged 25 homers the last 5 years. Last season he dropped to 18, but even if he can hit .270 18 70 that could really help the Stars plus at 28 he could be a long term solution for the Stars as they are getting very old...
The Stars also picked up vet slugger Outfielder Bob White..White 34, still has some power left as last season he hit 33 home runs...White probably wont hit 33 homers but 18-20 would be great for the Stars...If both White and Spencer add 40 homers and 140 RBI'S it will give the STARS a good shot at catching Vancouver...

The Stars signed 1st round pick Bob Navarro..Navarro the Stars feel if he develops can be a solid player..He looks to have some pop as he had 39 doubles and 15 homers in his 3 years in high school...Navarro is a hard worker and hopefully in 4-5 seasons he can make it to the Stars Roster....
