Hitter

Tyler Ryan
September stats: .391/.430/.655, 2 2BH, 7 HR, 22 RBI, 14 R, 9 BB, 12 K, 1 SB in 87 at-bats
Lots of good candidates this month thanks to an offense that put up a .303/.373/.498 slash line in September, but Ryan wins it for having the best OPS of the bunch and posting his best OPS of the year when the team needed it most. Ryan hit just .198/.247/.363 in August, but rebounded so nicely that his extension demands went up by 1 year and $1 million per year. Honorable mention to Dan Manville (.298/.473/.571, 3 2BH, 1 3BH, 6 HR, 17 RBI, 26 R, 27 BB, 20 K, 5 SB), Jack See (.321/.364/.642, 3 2BH, 4 3BH, 8 HR, 25 RBI, 19 R, 6 BB, 28 K and a Hitter of the Week award) and Jake Urban (.318/.385/.618, 10 2BH, 1 3BH, 7 HR, 28 RBI, 23 R, 12 BB, 9 K).

Starter

Corey Haim
September stats: 5-1, 3.19 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 26 K, 4 BB, 43 H in 42.1 IP (6 starts)
Starting the month with a perfect game can go a long way toward winning this award. Haim kept the good pitching going, picking up wins in his next three starts and getting the team's only victory in its season-ending series against Louisville -- the win that tied the Moonshiners for first in the Atlantic and guaranteed a playoff spot. Considering Jay Lee's September struggles (0-1, 6.48 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, 15 K, 7 BB, 16.7 innings in 3 starts) the Greenville coaches have to consider starting Haim in Game 1 against Valencia.

Reliever

McKinley Washington
September stats: 1-1, 5 saves, 1.93 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 10 K, 2 BB in 9.1 innings (9 games)
Similar to Ryan's honor above, this one was based as much on Washington's bouncing back from a piss-poor August (0-3, 1 save, 10.80 ERA, 5 HR in 13.3 innings) as it was that his September numbers were better than his teammates. The award just as easily could have gone to Hank Davidson (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 0.35 WHIP, 5 K, 1 BB in 5.2 innings, stepping up right when the team needed and needs him most), Gregorio Gonzales (0-0, 1 save, 1.12 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 8 K, 1 BB, 8 IP in 7 games) or George Fagg (0-0, 1.59 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, 1 K, 1 BB, 5.2 IP in 5 games).
