The Stars are 10-9 so far in August but still have a 8 game lead over Vancouver Mounties..In July the Stars with a 15-10 record started to pull away from Vancouver after the Stars went 15-10 and Vancouver went 12-13..The offense has a tm ba of .264 which is 12th overall and the pitching is doing great again this year with a tm era of 3.68, # 4 overall..Although the last few seasons the Stars had the number 1 or 2 rated staff...

STAR NEWS
OF Gary Barr joined the 400 home run club with a booming blast in the Stars win over the Mounties. The Stars won that game with a win over Vancouver 5-2. All-time Barr has played in 2257 games, batted .309 with 400 home runs and 2719 hits. Earlier this year Barr had a 25 game hit streak..The 35 year old vet is having another great year this season with a .301 Ba slugged 20 homers and has 62 RBI'S...
SP Joshua Francis Kellogg pitched a shutout vs the Chicago Black Sox..The Black Sox could muster just 2 hits against the 32-year-old Valencia vet. In the game Kellogg had 4 strikeouts and walked 0. So far this season Kellogg is 10-10 with a 3.08 era and the last 3 games is 1-1 1.96 era...
Star 1B Edwin Pyburn won the Johnson League Player of the Week trophy last week..The Stars first baseman hammered pitchers for 12 hits in 26 at-bats, a .462 average and 2 home runs. He also collected 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Pyburn is batting .356 with 16 home runs and 57 RBIs.. :champs:
SP/MR Jan Starr has been hot the last 7 games..He went 3-0 1.91 over the 7 games and overall this season is 11-2 2.12 era...

Since you have an 8-game lead, can you just lay down and lose for me in our upcoming series? It would be greatly appreciated :)

JFK gets the least results on the most talent. I've never quite figured it out, take a look at his career stats though. Wow.

The past two years he's had a below-average offense to pitch for, but I'd still think his numbers should be better than they are...
