The Stars are 10-9 so far in August but still have a 8 game lead over Vancouver Mounties..In July the Stars with a 15-10 record started to pull away from Vancouver after the Stars went 15-10 and Vancouver went 12-13..The offense has a tm ba of .264 which is 12th overall and the pitching is doing great again this year with a tm era of 3.68, # 4 overall..Although the last few seasons the Stars had the number 1 or 2 rated staff...

Earlier this year Barr had a 25 game hit streak..The 35 year old vet is having another great year this season with a .301 Ba slugged 20 homers and has 62 RBI'S...

The past two years he's had a below-average offense to pitch for, but I'd still think his numbers should be better than they are...
