2063 - BBA Today #104 – It’s a Mid-May Mishmash of BBA Goodness
It’s mid-May 2063 and the pennant chases are still a mess, so join Kurt Imber (San Fernando Bears) and Ron Collins (Bikini Krill) as we take another spin through the Brewster Baseball Association. They’ll talk about the Draft, whether Carlos Cruz will go directly to the majors, a key injury or three, and wild chases that are the Frontier and the Heartland before getting into fun topics like the idea of an OOTP player projection system as well as another run through active guys who may, or may not, already be ion the Hall of Fame

I was in a similar situation as Madison when I drafted Felix Ramos in 2051. My team was not very good and he was a 20 year old BBA ready star. I opted to call him up right away.... A. cause we needed to keep the forward momentum and ...B. I felt at the time he had a chance to set the all time walk record and wanted to do my part in giving him every opportunity.
Ramos ended up being a bit injury prone, has struggled against lefties and is on the decline at age 32. He is clearly not going to get there. But I'm still happy with my decision. He drew 116 walks the year he got drafted and 126 his sophomore season. If I had held him back until super two cutoff 2052 to save a few bucks, that would have cost him about 150 walks and cost us some playoff money in 2052.

Ha just listening to the Joffer/Cramer talk. Been trying to make room for Cramer with my other outfielders out of options, so I'm hoping someone gives a reasonable price for Joffer. Considered playing someone at 1B, but then signed Shepperson so idk. Logical thing to do was send down Cramer and still be competitive until I have room for him.

That just proves that Cramer was not the Silk winner last season. You took him off your team and it's business as usual. If I had done the same with Gallehos, we might be in 6th place right now.Dington wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 4:54 pmHa just listening to the Joffer/Cramer talk. Love the Andy Pettitte comp on Barney Lindsay. Could go with CC, too. Lindsay has two Nebraskas, something Pettitte never had. Lindsay didn't have Pettitte's postseason success, either, outside of that 10 IP no-hit ball he pitched in a loss

Cramer won because he's a CF, really. Probably not supposed to be that way, but it's fair enough. That said, Gallegos is at 1.8 WAR today...just like Cramer is. But Cramer's is in AAA.
Nothing like a good argument about which superstar is a the bigger superstar.

Kurt's voice is much stronger on his PC. I'll turn the input down a little on him next time.
