Yo. Boise offense. What up, dawgs? Scoring just 2.5 runs/game is unacceptable. That the Spuds managed to go 3-3 in the Sim is nothing short of miraculous. Boise took one of the last 2 in Montreal, then split with Cobble Hill on the road.

@ Montreal Blazers 2-1 W SP Thomas Turner (ND) - 11 G, 11 GS, 3-6, 3.95 ERA, 66.0 IP, 2.0 K/BB, 1.15 WHIP, 0.8 WAR[/url]
@ Montreal Blazers 0-5 L SP Dan Boman (L) - 11 G, 11 GS, 5-5, 4.48 ERA, 62.1 IP, 2.0 K/BB, 1.40 WHIP, 0.6 WAR
The Spuds entered Sim #9 hoping to salvage a win in Montreal and they did so behind a spectacular start by Thomas Turner who went 7 innings allowing just 2 hits and 1 run while fanning 9. Boise left the win until the final frame where they scored their two runs and P Samir Qasim sealed the win by closing out a scoreless bottom of the 9th. Montreal SP Luis González tossed 7.2 innings of shutout ball but CL Randall Cotton gave up the winning run for his 4th loss of the season in 26 appearances. Boman imploded in the 2nd inning and only made it to 50 pitches. Both LF Manny Burges and Denes Terovolas went 3-4 with 1 RBI.

@ Cobble Hill Robins 0-13 L SP Niegloslaw Woywitka - 8 G, 8 GS, 0-7, 9.28 ERA, 32.0 IP, 2.1 K/BB, 1.94 WHIP, -0.6
@ Cobble Hill Robins 5-3(12) W SP Josh 'Kid' Clark - 12 G, 12 GS, 6-2, 3.25 ERA, 72.0 IP, 2.0 K/BB, 1.28 WHIP, +1.6
@ Cobble Hill Robins 7-4 W SP Mahad 'Furball' Einan - 12 G, 12 GS, 5-5, 3.27 ERA, 71.2 IP, 1.25 K/BB, 1.27 WHIP, +0.7 WAR
CL Mario Santos (SV-7) - 16 G, 1-1, 7 SV, 1.14 ERA, 23.2 IP, 2.0 K/BB, 1.10 WHIP, +0.8 WAR
@ Cobble Hill Robins 1-3 L - Turner (L)
The Cobble Hill series began on a loss that could have been predicted in ink given Woywitka was the starter. He gave up 5 runs on 5 hits over 3 innings surrendering 3 HR. P Yoriyuki Ine followed Woywitka and gave up 7 runs in 1.2 innings though only 3 of them were earned thanks to a fielding error from 1B Tracy 'Jigga' Allison. Light hitting 2B Fernando Segura was 4-5 with an RBI. Boise ace took the bump in the 2nd game and had a superior performance, which is the trend for the staff outside of Woywitka, shutting out the Robins over 6.2 innings allowing only 4 hits while striking out 6. CL Santos picked up a blown save but P Yoriyuki Ine ushered the game to the 12th to earn the victory. Furball followed Clark with another solid start going 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits. Boise CF Amphibian 'Toad' Johnson and utility INF Zhi-fu 'Doctor' Huang each went 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Santos saw the game to the books for his 7th close of the season and some redemption for his blown save 2 nights earlier. In the finale, Turner continued his solid 2063 with a quality start allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. But Cobble Hill SP Larry 'Stool' Jensen was just that much better surrendering just 1 run on 5 hits in 7.1 innings while striking out only 2.
