A winning Sim! Sure, it's 4-3 but the Spuds will take it (recap)! Boise allowed just 2.8 runs/game in a 4-game set with San Antonio and the team held that up until the final two games in Vegas where they got obliterated. The offense was humming as well posting 5.7 per game. We're sure we haven't seen a pair of numbers like that in a very, very long time.

We hate to pass over Yoriyuki Ine allowing just one run in 3.1 innings, but we will. P Robert Carlson made good on his noise about joining the rotation with a start in which he allowed only 2 runs and 5 hits in 7.1 innings. But Groves, who has been dominating all season, stepped in when CL Mario Santos developed a blister in the first game of the Sim. The righty made 3 appearances shutting out opponents in 4.0 innings and converting 2 saves.

Boise C Tadanobu Otani continued his sparkling 2062 in Sim #20 slashing .421/.455/.842 driving in 5 runs on 1 doubles and 2 HR. To say 1B Tracy Allison is having a break out year starting full-time at first is an understatement. He continued doing his thing this Sim bagging 4 doubles and a triple while driving in 5 runs. But it's Taylor time...for the moment. Boise management has made clear just how much they want the 21yo righty to lock down the DH role with Hozven on a team option for 2063. He posted 3 homeruns and a double driving in 6 runs on a .286/.423/.762 slash.
