There were no bright sides in Sim #17 (recap) against the 2 best teams in the JL on the road. Pitching got brutalized to the tune of 7.1 runs/game, which made the offense irrelevant but they still sucked for good measure scoring an anemic 3.1 per.
SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #17
Pitcher

P Buddhapalita Kankipati
22 G, 17 GS, 6-2, 3.29 ERA, 93.0 IP, 1.17 WHIP, +0.5 WAR
CL Mario Santos actually had a decent Sim but he took the loss in his only game with a decision. As a closer, he wasn't asked to do very much in this Sim. Reliever Ken Sproul only made 2 appearances logging 2.1 innings giving up 2 hits and no runs while fanning 4. SP Phil Cole posted an exactly quality start allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. But Kankipati just keeps showing that a light has clicked on for him this season. He was back in the pen for this Sim and he tossed 4.1 innings allowing just 2 hits and striking out 7.
Batter

1B Tracy 'Jigga' Allison
91 G, 29 2B, 12 3B, 4 HR, 27 RBI, .347/.396/.531, 47 SB, +3.3 WAR
Wow. There has never been a time in recent memory where virtually no one had a good week. 3B Bill Kuhn drove in 5 runs but slashed .192/.185/.423. The ONLY player that hit above .300 in the Sim was 'Jigga' as he went .375/.444/.583 two doubles, a HR, 1 RBI, and stole 1 base in 3 attempts.
