Sim #1 (recap) was a textbook Sim #1...hard to know what to make of it. Very, very impressive Sim from the offense putting up 5.4 runs/game. Too bad pitching is in tatters right now. Allowing 7.6 should be illegal. Not really sure about new ways to pick apart that carcass of a start.
SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #1
Pitcher

SP Jeremy Nickerson
1 G, 1 GS, 0-0, 4.05 ERA, 6.2 IP, 1.35 WHIP, 2.1 K/BB, +0.0 WAR
SP Buddhapalita Kankipati had a good start to the year delivering 4.1 innings on 78 pitches. His value has always been that he never has a very high HR/9 (career 1.2) so the key is maxing out his K/BB. Didn't do that but we'll still mark the start as a success. CL Mario Santos got his first work in with 2 scoreless innings. We'll go with Nickerson for the first nod of the 2062 season. His one outing was, precisely, a quality start that looked good in walking just 2 but a skid mark of allowing 7 hits.
Batter

3B Bill Kuhn
7 G, 1 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, .407/.467/.852, +0.5 WAR
We can, hopefully, see Kuhn's name a lot in the editions of SotS. C Tadanobu Otani delivered 3 HRs in the opening series in Calgary so he gets a mention here. So he's on a pace for 74 HR...and a .217/.280/.652 stat line. We should see LF Tsutoma Yamauchi's name plenty in regards to SotS, too. He only had 1 HR but delivered 3 doubles and 6 RBI. But back to Kuhn. All he did was post 9 RBI in 7 games on 1 double, 1 triple, and 3 HR while slashing .407/.467/.852.
