Bayou, Reyes, and Tinter Head to Sacramento as Trade is Made Official
The Boise and Sacramento front offices stunned the BBA world today with the announcement of a trade that involves a whopping 15 players. Most critical is the inclusion of 26yo CF Lou Bayou among the three players headed to the Mad Popes. A list filled in by 25yo SP Mario Reyes and 35yo 2B Lou Tinter.
Boise will receive 12 players in total. At the major league level this includes 25yo RF Tsutomu Yamauchi, 25yo 1B José Montoya, 35yo 2B Ryan Geauxinue, and 24yo CF Bob Hills. 25yo AAA SP Tariku Jabiri begins to shape
the "prospects" and/or "future" part of the return. 21yo Class A SP Felipe Ledesma, a highly respected prospect. Fellow Class A teammates 20yo P Rafael Garza and 20yo RF Carlos Díaz. 20yo P Amelio 'Golden' Torrez and 21yo RF Bruno Gross come over at the Short A level. Finally, international discoveries 3B Ya'qub bin Naim and C Saleh bin Omran enter Boise's rookie level.
To say that this is a lot to unpack is a criminal understatement and The Times has secured an interview with GM Ben Teague to discuss the players and the overall outlook they provide.
