Boise had another winning Sim #21 (recapped here at 4-3. Which is not 5-2 because the Spuds got swept by Phoenix at home, but they did sweep a 4-game set vs Edmonton. JL Frontier series are front and center now with the Spuds on the edge.

There were some fine performances in Sim #21. P Jeff Doane made 3 appearances going 4.1 scoreless innings with 4 K's. Former closer Harold Nothard showed in 2.2 innings that he may be shaking off the yips as he fanned 5. Mark Baker and Gavrilovich Mastinsky each only allowed 1 run in their one start. But Hill, again, outshined them all. Pitching vs Edmonton on the 23rd, Hill tossed 7.2 innings of shutout ball allowing only 2 hits and striking out 10.
