The Spuds were actually a solid team offensively in 2062 and that continued into Spring Training. The main focus was more production from certain players, analysis of new additions, and monitoring their #20 overall BBA prospect for being ready for ML pitching. The regular starters and backups all got their 27-30 game appearances in and should be ready to go on Opening Day.
First off, we'll note that 2B Ryan Geauxinue is geauxne having been traded to Mexico City. We just wanted to use that line.
SPUDS OF SPRING TRAINING - BATTERS

2B Fernando Segura
29 G, 7 2B, 6 HR, 11 RBI, .284/.329/.622, .951 OPS
Uh, uh. Nope. No. Hell no!! We aren't falling for this again. Segura has posted +800 OPS for 3 straight seasons at AAA. He logged a .459 in his first full season as starting 2B in the bigs. So, this isn't real. Prove us wrong...

RF Tsutomu Yamauchi
30 G, 4 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR, 18 RBI, .343/.348/.701, 1.049 OPS, 1 SB
The rightfielder was the undisputed star of Spring Training 2063. 18 RBI in 74 AB is sweet. If Yamauchi bats anywhere near this in the regular season the Spuds are going to be dangerous. He served up an OPS of .770 last season.

1B Tracy 'Jigga' Allison
29 G, 2 2B, 4 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, .424/.449/.712, 1.161 OPS, 12 SB
Jigga had an excellent Spring and that's very encouraging considering the coaches let him get his legs properly warmed for Opening Day.

1B William Coleman
30 G, 1 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, .379/.415/.448, .864 OPS, 1 SB
Is he ready? Sure. Is the lack of power numbers concerning? Somewhat, but an .864 OPS is nothing to sneeze at. A platoon role as the lefty to DH Perry Taylor's righty will be a good evaluation point.

DH Perry Taylor
29 G, 4 2B, 1 HR, 10 RBI, .365/.407/.500, .907 OPS
And speak of the devil... Taylor's spring slash was golden, but his lack of power was concerning.
