Phoenix, AZ--
Presenting another low-effort "news and notes" style Team News:
Talons Make Trades
Fresh off the blockbuster deal that saw Rich Dares, Bane McCoy, and Javier Duarte leave for Des Moines in exchange for outfielder Julio Perez and starter Garth Dobbs, Phoenix continued to tweak the major league roster while setting up for a possible playoff run. With Vegas seemingly out of contention for the (very) short term, LHP Owen Geddes was made available, and the Talons sent Short-A pitcher Randy Sheffield to Vegas for the 37 year old veteran. Geddes is a huge fan favorite with off-the-charts intangibles, not to mention a stellar .406 opponents' OPS vs LHB. Geddes will primarily pitch out of the bullpen for the time being.
Talons Manager Reportedly Summoned to Meeting
A source in the Talons Front Office has leaked that Talons manager Thad Meyer was "invited" to the office to have a meeting. Rumors have suggested that the meeting was not disciplinary in nature, far from it (Meyer has been a part of this organization since he was drafted as a center fielder in 2033). According to the source, Thad was asked to reduce his reliance on 26 year old uberreliever Ernesto Juarez, who is currently second in the BBA with a 2.05 ERA and fourth with 106 K's. The Front Office was reportedly concerned about overuse of the bullpen stud, wishing to keep him healthy for the stretch run.
Toledo Liberty Back On Track
After a harrowing first half of the Single-A season that saw the legendary club as low as 2nd in the standings, Toledo has righted the ship and the Liberty are once again back atop their division. The days of dominance are over, and of course Toledo doesn't even lead the CPL in wins. But things are running more smoothly at Third Fifth Field of late, with strong performances by C Pablo Gonzales, 1B Pedro Bessette, RF Duncan Oliver, and SP Zoilo Stamatas (acquired in the Mark Lolololo deal) leading the way. Despite the elevated sentiment, Toledo is only projected to win 91 games this year, falling short of 100 wins for only the fourth time since 2046.
GO Talons!

1st in walks and runs scored on offense. 1st in punchies from the pitching side. Winning formula.
