2060-015: Talons GM: 'The Behemoth Tax Doesn't Work'

Phoenix, AZ--

Recently, (i.e. yesterday) the Talons posted a trade block to Discord and made a couple of deals. It was actually the first decent response the club had gotten for a trade block in quite some time. Everything was going smoothly until something dreadful happened: A Behemoth came calling.

For those not content to scroll through literally thousands of Discord messages, the basic concept is that if a team is really good, and you decide to trade with them, you have to pretty much rip them off in the deal or you will get roasted by other GM's for not getting enough. The Talons tried to work this angle when one of the aforementioned Behemoths asked about Toledo Liberty legend Na'il Hisham, a decent 4th OF with some pop. But all did not go according to plan. No matter what the Talons Reclusive GM tried, a deal could not get done.

So what happened? Well, it turns out, that the Behemoth in question doesn't have to play along. The Talons GM summed it up: "They can just say no! Who knew??"

Guess the Discord #nerds will have to come up with a new trade protocol for dealing with really good teams!
