The Talons Reclusive GM was seen entering the Maricopa County Courthouse in downtown Phoenix earlier today.
But this time, it wasn't due to criminal charges or lawsuits.
According to sources, the GM today filed forms to begin the process of legally changing his name to "League Control 1". Now, we aren't entirely sure what that means. It's not like this guy has any control over his team, his finances, or his life choices; much less control over an entire league. In fact, the only thing he seems to have consistent control over is a bottle of VODAK, always at the ready.
And also, what's with the "1"?? Since when were the Talons number one in anything, besides maybe Charlie Pegler League championships, or amount of consecutive contract extensions given to an objectively useless ballplayer? But we digress. In a related story, the Greater Central Arizona Metropolitan Area Fire Rescue Department was called to the Talons front office just a short time ago, apparently responding to a small blaze in the GM's office. No word as to any injuries, but there was reportedly damage to the GM's desk, where this was found:
