2033.07 - 3 All-Stars for Charm City

The Jimmies sent 3 players to the BBA Annual All-Star game. Wilmot Schlondorff, Aubrey Anderson, and mid-season pick up Carlton Winson will all represent the team.

This will be Schlondorff's 2nd BBA All-Star game. The teams closer has gone 23/25 (91.3%) in his save opportunities this year while pitching to a 2.55 ERA. He's been a workhorse out of the 'pen, throwing 67 innings up to this point. His WHIP at 1.30 is a little higher than the team would like to see, but he's managed to strike out 65 batters and have a solid 3.08 FIP.

After a slow start, Anderson picked it up sometime in May and had a monster June. His elevation of play seems to coincide with the addition of Winson. Not one to walk much with only 8 BB's, he still holds a solid slash line of .279/.308/.528, along with 18 HR's and 64 RBI's. He's also continued to play his normally above average defense in RF. This will be his first BBA All-Star game.

Winson will be the league's starting 3B, and rightfully so. While he was off to a good start in Phoenix, he really took off once being inserted into Charm City's lineup. And absurd .369/.473/.915 slash line would be good for any player in a week. Winson has done that in a quarter of a season. Overall, he's hit 36 HR's while driving in 83 runs. He leads the league in HR's and runs and is 2nd in RBI's and total bases. While he was mainly acquired for his bat, the team hoped he could also provide solid defense at the hot corner. Since being in Charm City, he has done just that. At this point, he should be the favorite for the Johnson League Sawyer Silk Sliver Slugger Trophy.
