As the Jackrabbits prepare for their two-game 2053 opening series in Boise, a relatively normal practice was interrupted when a scuffle broke out. New Jackrabbits manager Jonathan Archer addressed the media after practice and was asked about the incident.

"It was a bit of a skirmish between two Jackrabbits. I'm not going to disclose their identities, but I've informed both that that kind of aggression is out of line and won't be tolerated during my regime. 847 punches were thrown, but no one was hurt or needed assistance from our training staff. This is not a distraction for the team as we prepare for the Spuds. It was a small isolated incident. Next question."
