Edmonton, May 2 -- It had long been rumored but now it is confirmed: Otto Pyck, the clubhouse janitor-turned-draft master of the Tripoli Piranhas, has indeed followed GM Mike Dunn eastward to Edmonton, where Pyck will handle both cleaning up vomit and tobacco chew left on the locker room floor, and the 2047 Edmonton amateur draft.
"Frankly, I haven't paid attention to this draft class," admitted Dunn, who apparently barely has paid attention to his own roster as well since arriving to helm Edmonton in the off-season. "I am cognizant that Otto did a fine job in the 2046 UMEBA draft for Tripoli, so I figured, why the fuck not? I called him up, and invited him over."

Pyck arrived at Edmonton International Airport and Gin Distillery (EIAGD) early this morning and spoke to reporters. "I am likely to choose either a pitcher or a position player with my first round pick," Pyck revealed as scribes scribbled furiously on their notepads. "However it is certainly possible that I might veer off in a different direction."
Otto was asked how the Brewster draft would differ from the UMEBA draft, if at all. "Well, for one, there are more teams," Pyck opined, picking at his chin stubble to look authoritative. "And what I've determined is that if there are more teams, there are more draft picks. So instead of being on the clock every ten picks, you are on the clock every 32 picks. It's fascinating."
Asked if he indeed, as rumored, uses dice to finalize his draft selections, Pyck declined to comment. "Let me just say this: in UMEBA I could use a d10, but in this league I would have to use a d32. That really changes things up."
And with that, Pyck begged off further questions, hopping in his team-issued limo for a ride to the ballpark and day of puke and picks.
