Brauers in a free fall....

Post by palmolive44 » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:17 am

With each series the chances of the Brauers defending their European Cup championship seems to be slipping away. A 3-7 stretch over their last 10 games has dropped the Brauers to third place in the Western Alliance 6.5 games behind Rome. The vaunted pitching staff has been less than stellar. The lone bright spot has been Flobert Rijerkerk who has posted a 8-8 record with a 3.17 ERA so far. LHP Martin VonTirpitz went down recently with a partially torn labrum which will put him out of action for at least 8-9 weeks. VonTirpitz is the third Brauer to go down with a labrum injury this year joining Fineen Duly and Nicolas Rossignol in the club. GM Scott Murphy said that the season is far from over and he was confident that the team would turn things around and get back into the playoff race.

I have some pitchers I could trade you, but I'm afraid they wouldn't go through -- even if they were done in some dark, back alleyway in Bonn somewhere.

Great to see your team news, though.
